Unusual pet seized during police raid
It was reported by the CityNews.ca that an overnight raid Saturday January 17, 2009 netted among the usual items one very big and unusual pet.
The Toronto, Ontario Emergency Task Force (ETF) with a warrant to search an Eglinton Street home entered it just before 3:00 am Sunday. They unearthed the usual bundle of drugs (one ounce of cocaine) and weapons (100 round of ammunition, three hand guns, a sawed-off shotgun and knives).
In addition, police confiscated $10, 000 cash and three pit bulls. Vicious pets perhaps but not all that unusual a choice of pet. No, that honour goes to the three pound live alligator, every ounce of him.
Now, would he be classified as a weapon or family member?
